Mural at Kader School

(December 17, 2007)
Mural at Kader School, Middlesborough
16ftx8ft - Mural

Emulsion paint (sealed) on primed chipboard

A mural designed in response to the question posed to the students “What does school mean to you?”

The brief:

Following a school competition – “What does Kader School mean to you”, the winning entry must be interpreted, transformed and developed into a large, colourful mural to enhance the rather dull look of a large intimidating assembly hall.

My approach to the project and inspiration:

“Brainstorming” sessions based around only four basic images, I knew, would eventually lead to the formation of a range of interlinked strong graphical themes – the basis of the mural.
